காரணம் கேட்டு வாடி/ Kaaranam Kettu Vaadi

பொதுவாக கடவுள்களைப் பற்றி எழுதப்படும் பாடல்கள் அவர்களின் அழகினையும் செயலையும் வர்ணிக்கும் விதத்தில் இருக்கும் இல்லை கேள்விகளை அடுக்கி முறையிடுதலாய் இருக்கும். இந்த பாடல் முறையிடுதல் ரகம். என்ன கவி பாடினாலும் என்கிற பாடல் இதற்கு சாலச்சிறந்த எடுத்துக்காட்டு. இந்தப் பாடலை நேரடியாய் முறையிடாது ஒரு பெண்ணிடம் சொல்லி கேட்டு வரும்படி வித்தியாசம் செய்து இருக்கிறார் சுததானந்த பாரதி. கடவுளை காதலனாய்ப் பார்க்கிறார். சுப்பிரமணிய பாரதியும் கண்ணன் என் காதலன் என்று எழுதி இருக்கிறார்

கண்ணப்பன் செய்தரு-கனவினில் தீதேனோ?
செல்லாமனைக்கு தூது சென்று வா என்றேனோ?
செய்யாத காரியம் செய்ய முன்னின்றேனோ?

பொருள்:


சகியே! சிதம்பரநாதன் ஏன் இன்னும் வரவில்லை என்கிற காரணத்தை கேட்டறிந்து வா.

முற்றிலும் கருணையால் நிறைந்த தங்க கோவிலில் வீற்றிருக்கும் சிதம்பரநாதன் என் பொறுமையை சோதிக்க மறைமுகமாய் இருக்கிறாரா?

யாரையாவது துன்புறுத்தும் வகையில் கல்லாலும் வில்லாலும் அடித்திருக்கிறேனா? கனவில் கூட தீயவற்றை நினைத்திருக்கிறேனா? போக கூடாத இடத்திற்கு யாரையேனும் பொய் வரச்சொன்னேனா? செய்ய கூடாத தீய செயல் ஏதும் செய்தேனா? பின்னர் ஏன் சிதம்பரநாதன் வரவில்லை
